From the Foster:

Julius is a very chill guy. He loves to just hang out on the couch right next to me or in my lap. He's a big fan of being petted and scratched and he is constantly giving out kisses. He doesn't seem to want to play with my other foster, who's young and full of energy. He growls whenever the other dog gets too close to him or annoys him. I think he'd be okay with a more laid back dog friend, more of a companion than a playmate.

Julius seems to be house trained, and he hasn't tried to mark anything. He doesn't tell me when he needs to go out, but he hasn't had any accidents either. I take him out on a schedule and that seems to work, although he doesn't always go potty right away. Sometimes it takes awhile. He's also crate trained and does great in there while I'm at work. He will sometimes go into the crate when he needs his own space. But more often, he'll be right by your side. He wants to be in whatever room you are in.

He loves people and warms up quickly to them. He likes to go for walks and does really well on the leash. He doesn't seem to need too much activity. If you're looking for a laid back, mellow older guy, Julius is the dog for you!

Julius would not do well in a house with a puppy or another dog that's highly active and wants to play all the time.
