From the Foster:

Hi! I'm Victor. My mom and dad are constantly calling me a "good boy" and that makes me wag my short little tail real hard. I'm two years old so I still have puppy energy, but my parents jokingly call me a "greyhound" because one minute I can be bouncing and running around and the next I'll be napping on the couch in the living room. I really enjoy the hour+ walks my mom and dad bring me on right now, so I will need an active family to keep those up, and probably a fenced in yard. I pull a little bit (there are so many new smells to investigate!), so my mom got me an Easy Walk harness and I'm doing a lot better now, but I would benefit from more leash training.

I am shy when I when meeting new people, so I like to keep about a nose distance away from new people till I get comfortable. But once I decide I like them, I am quite affectionate! I LOVE giving kisses and getting pets and my fosters say I have a gentle mouth - I'll take treats right out of your hand, and it'll barely tickle! I've never nipped at anyone, even when dogs bark at me or children reach out for my head. I got to go to Thanksgiving at a friend's house where I met a lot of new people and 2 new dogs! I loved running around playing with the other dogs, but when Thanksgiving dinner time came, I laid calmly in the dining room and didn't make any fuss. I got a lot of treats for that. If I get overwhelmed, I like to go in my kennel and nap.

During the day, my parents let me a have a whole room to myself, but I generally just choose to sleep in my kennel. I also sleep inside my closed kennel at night, but I like when it's in my parents room because I like being around my pack. I'm also completely house trained and haven't had even one single accident, which my foster parents say is amazing! I have recently been finding my voice and barking a bit when I'm inside the house - I like to alert my parents of things I hear or see outside, but I am quiet outside on walks, even when other dogs are barking at me. I also love love love to chew! My parents are teaching me what is okay to chew and what's not and I'm learning really really fast. Chewing helps me when I'm bored! My foster mom says I'm such a sweetheart and would make an amazing addition to a family who's looking for a playful, mostly calm dog, and who has the energy to exercise me and teach me new things like how to sit and stay! Who is ready to love me forever? :)
