From the Foster:

Greetings to everyone reading this! I am Granny or Gran-gran. Yes I'm an older lady with more experience than most of the dogs at Secondhand Hounds but with experience comes the greatest of perks. See I'm potty trained and whine when I need to go potty, I will stay quietly in a kennel when you are gone but will remind you I want to be out once you're home, I sit on command and working on waiting patiently in my food, I sleep a lot, I don't require (but enjoy) small daily walks, and I'm pretty go with the flow kind of lady. I enjoy a good car ride, I don't mind other dogs but not very playful, I'm very good for my nails and bath time, I'm patient with all children but would rather not play with them unless they went a small game of fetch, I take pills in my doggy dish or a treat nicely, I enjoy a good tennis ball or Kong toy to chew on, and I don't chase or really even notice the kitties! If you give me a good dog bed that's near you and some great food, then you have over half of my needs covered.

Being an older lady does mean I have some health things I'm working on, but are easy since Second Hand Hounds already figured out most of it anyways! I have allergies that I need to take pills daily for (foster Mommy says Apoquel is working wonders on me!) and I used to be pretty skinny and naked. Foster Mommy has some pictures available to see my continuing progress! I am even getting my teeth worked on and a couple blemishes removed. How thoughtful of them! I'm starting to feel like a younger dog already!

My foster Mommy says my only fault is my foodie side. I maybe old but when it comes to food I can't help myself since I went without on the streets of Texas. I won't snatch it from your hands (even the 3 year olds hands) but if you leave it on the counter I may help myself.

Overall, I'm just a sweet lass who's looking for a lovely retirement home. I want to share my golden years with a loving family that will keep up with my minor health changes and give me a snack or two. I hope I get the pleasure of meeting you soon!
