From the Foster:

Maisie is a sweet, gentle old lady who came to us as a former breeding dog. Years of of raising puppies had taken their toll on her body, and she's been spayed, had several teeth removed and has had two surgeries to remove her mammary glands due to several tumors. These were all benign. She's recovered wonderfully from all that and is healthy with only the typical issues of a senior dog, such as mild arthritis and some cataracts. She is ready to find her forever home and enjoys just being a dog.

Maisie is an affectionate dog who will follow you from room to room, but she's not a cuddler. She does enjoy sleeping near you on her bed and will sometimes demand to get up on the couch with you. She does need to be lifted up, as she can't jump. Additionally, she does not do well with stairs. She gets up and down the back three steps at her foster home, but cannot manage a full staircase. She will need to be carried up and down, or have a home where she doesn't need to deal with many steps. Also, because of a history of barking, she is not suitable for a home with shared walls.

In her foster home, Maisie has discovered several things that she enjoys about her retirement. While she's not too interested in walks, she loves wandered around the yard, smelling things and rolling in the grass. She also loves snoozing in front of a fireplace, enjoying the warmth. She enjoys petting and scratches, and she loooooves food, often barking if you're not fast enough to fill her dish. She can potty both in a yard and on a leash, but does best with a routine and in a familiar environment.

Maisie will make an amazing companion for someone who can offer her a lowkey household  with a quiet routine where she can enjoy the company of her people.
