From the Foster:

Meet Sookie. She has a curious personality and you would just look at that coat. The most beautiful markings I have ever seen on a tortishell kitty cat! We have had Miss Sookie since June. The first 5 days or so we let her relax in her very own bedroom/bathroom as our resident crew can be a tad overwhelming. She slept with us every night and purred the instant you stepped into her space.

Once we slowly let her meet our crew (4 females cats, a 20 pound dog and a 4 pound puppy) it was like she was always here. Our dogs are so used to having cats around that they did not blink an eye. And our cats did the typical hissing/swatting thing. Sookie did it right back and they made peace within hours. I feel very confident that if you give her a few days in her own private space she will easily adapt to any pets you currently have.

We do not have kids and she has never had any exposure to them that we know of but I am sure with proper intros and polite behavior she would be just fine. What we do know is that this smart gal always uses her litter box!

Sookie is a grazer and needs to be fed small meals throughout the day if you have others in the home that will gobble her kibble up. If she is an only cat you may certainly leave her food out all day without fear that she will inhale it in one sitting.

Sookie still sleeps with us every night even though she now has full run of our home. She loves to watch TV and will watch the birds and bunnies outside the window for hours. She is very sweet girl. Please let me know when you would like to meet her!
