From the Foster:

Lil   Jack , or Jaquito as we call him ( Lil   Jack  in Spanish), is a calm and collected young canine.  Like many Chihuahuas, he seems very cautious of the big world around him, but we think he is much less nervous and barky than other Chihuahuas we've known.  He walks well on a leash, sauntering with a bit of a showy jaunt.  He never pulls; he wants to be with the pack on walks.  He perches like a cat at the top of the couch to watch the street from our 3rd floor apartment.  When we leave and sometimes at night, we kennel him - a monitor camera shows us that he barks and whines for about 15 minutes, then lays down till we come home.
He loves snuggling, and will relax on a human lap.  He loves curling up in between our legs if we are laying in bed.  He likes to squeeze in between an armrest and a human, or other spaces that give a compression effect - so we got him a Thundershirt but it is not necessary for his daily functioning.  We haven't discovered any particular fears or anxieties, however he really dislikes the large newborn baby strollers in our building, and barks whenever he sees one being walked on the street.
