From the Foster:

Lucy is kind to everybody she meets and loves making new friends.  She greets everybody with a big tail wag.  She is pretty low energy and loves to lay outside in the grass and go for slow walks.  She also loves food and has a lot of fun with snuffle mats and other food puzzles.  Lucy is excellent at house training, and does well in her crate as long as she has had her walk and gets a kong toy or some other food to work on while she is crated.

She is great with cats, children and all people.  Shes happy with anything as long as she gets to be included!

Lucy would do best in a home without shared walls, while she is usually very calm and spends most of her day sleeping, she occasionally has very strong opinions and you will get to hear her famous “beagle bay”.

Lucy has some medical issues that are normal for her age, but will require ongoing medication.  She has luxating patellas which are treated with pain killers.  This causes her to walk slowly but she is still fully mobile and able to go up and down stairs and walk around.   She also gets ointment for dry eyes.  Her new home will need to commit to giving her these medications indefinitely.  She is also mostly deaf, but this doesn’t cause much trouble.  She tries her best to watch for what she is supposed to do and likes making people happy.  She even knows a few hand signals.

Lucy is looking for a calm place to retire to and will give you lots of love in return.  She will be happy living with just about anybody as long as they have lots of pets and treats to give.
