From the Foster:

Lucy is kind to everybody she meets and loves making new friends.  She greets everybody with a big tail wag.  Her greatest joy in life is laying in the grass on a sunny day.  She likes to go on short, slow walks, though we call them “going on a snuffle” because she tends to lead with her nose.  Lucy is excellent at house training, and does well in her crate as long as she has a kong toy or some other food to work on while she is crated.

Lucy would do best in a home without shared walls, while she is usually very calm and spends most of her day sleeping, she occasionally has very strong opinions and you will get to hear her famous “beagle bay”.
Lucy has some medical issues that are normal for her age, but will require ongoing medication.  She has luxating patellas which are treated with pain killers.  This causes her to walk slowly but she is still fully mobile and able to go up and down stairs and walk around.   She also gets ointment for dry eyes.  Her new home will need to commit to giving her these medications indefinitely.  She is also mostly deaf, but this doesn’t cause much trouble.  She even knows the hand signals for sit and shake - she doesn’t let being deaf hold her back.
You won’t find a sweeter friend than Lucy, she is worth the extra effort.
