From the Foster:

David Bowie (aka Bowie) is such a happy-go-lucky goofball! He has many great qualities that make him so very special.

He loves all people and is far from shy. He is very friendly to anyone he meets and immediately wants to be everyone’s best friend! He is great with dogs also. He loves meeting new furry friends at the dog park and is very playful.

Bowie loves being outside and exploring new places! He would love an open space to run around and get his energy out. A fenced in yard would certainly be a bonus for his energy levels. He can be mellow but when he’s excited and wants to play, sometimes can have rambunctious play biting that is nothing aggressive but it is something we’re working on correcting. I find enough exercise and mental stimulation helps immensely! He is a big fan of the dog park, walks, hikes, anything outside you name it. He would love a buddy he could play and wrestle with also as he is very playful.

He is very smart and very food/treat motivated which helps with training and teaching him new tricks! He knows sit, down, and shake… so far :)

He is totally fine in his crate. He occasionally needs treats to coax him in, but once in, he is quiet as a mouse! Sometimes he even sleeps in there at night.

He is completely potty/house trained with never any accidents. He also walks great on a leash and loves car rides!

Quick note that has nothing to do with his awesomeness – he has very mild hip dysplasia that does not hold him back in the slightest and is not prohibitive to any activity he does. He walks, runs, jumps, and plays just like normal. If you are looking for a cuddly, playful love bug that is ready to find his forever, then he is the dog for you!
