From the Foster:

Meet Sticks aka Stickers! This big bundle of joy loves love and will let you know it. He has the absolute cutest full body and tail wag when he is excited (which is always) and he will cuddle (sit/lay on top of you) and kiss (lick you clean) at any chance he gets. He gets along well with our resident dog and has also been great meeting other dogs. Sticks is excited to meet his forever family!

He is getting the hang of potty training and hasn’t had too many accidents in the house. If you keep him on schedule he does great but if that changes, he might have an accident - he is learning! Sticks is kennel trained and does great around the house. He has the habit of moving shoes but hasn't destroyed any and we are working on leaving them where they belong. He also LOVES food, I mean can we blame him? Sometime he tries, sometime successfully, to snatch a bite of whatever is left on the counter. He is a smart guy and won't jump up when you are in the room but he will take advantage if you leave the room. We are working on breaking this habit so in his forever home he won't eat off the counters. :)

One fun quirk Sticks is tackling is his fear of stairs. He is comfortable with a few steps and has finally started running up and down our basement! It took him a little while but he got use it and loves running up and down now!

He hasn’t been around kids much but we think it would be great...as long as they don’t mind getting whacked every now and then by his excited tail and a few doggy kisses! We have noticed he has a little hesitation around some males. With slow introductions and treats he does warm up! The only barking we have seen from him is when our dog barks or if something scares him, but once he investigates he’s all wags!

Come meet this lovable dog who is just as happy to run, play, and explore, as he is to cuddle up on the couch or bed and nap!

Sticks was recently treated for heartworm disease but is feeling much better now. Please let SHH know if you have any questions!
