From the Foster:

Seriously- how handsome is this guy? And he isn't just a pretty face! Jeffrey is the sweetest boy. When inside, he wants to be right next to his human, and will press his big old head up against you, or go to sleep with his head on your lap. Jeffrey's interests include: SQUIRRELS SQUIRRELS, treats and learning new tricks that involve him getting treats (although he already knows Sit!). Jeffrey is learning to be crated and is doing pretty well, settling down after about 15 minutes of his distinctive "huff-bark" (he has a breathy, softer bark than other dogs). We are still working on his interactions with other dogs. He does well in neutral areas like outside on walks, but he might need more time to learn to share his personal space with dog friends.
He LOVES walks and is very focused on all the smells and being ever-vigilant for SQUIRRELS- which means he sometimes forgets not to pull, and we are working on that.  He hasn't learned all the rules of the house yet, being just a young guy- like counter surfing being off-limits and not to scratch at doors, but he really wants to please and is very trainable. He is also a very athletic dog: on walks he will jump up on retaining walls, and he can easily jump outside fences and indoor baby gates. He will be the sweetest companion to whoever adopts Jeffrey, and he needs someone to put some meat on his bones and love him up.
