From the Foster:

Don't break Aiki's heart! She's traveled all the way from San Pancho, Mexico, during the frigid winter, and now she's looking for a family to love her. She is not a fan of the cold Minnesota winter, but she's trying really hard to learn to use potty pads! She wants nothing to do with the snow - even shoveled areas - but can you really blame her? She's a tiny little peanut, and even little snowbanks tower over her.

Little Miss Aiki is a firecracker! She plays hard and then looks for a lap to curl up and take a nap. She's a champion cuddler and kisser. She's good with other dogs and is working on learning to read their signals. She currently lives with two cats. She pretty much leaves the one alone who ignores her antics, but she will sometimes give chase or bat back and forth with the younger cat who reacts to her. We're just starting to work on the common commands. Right now she's working on "come" and "no."

I'll be honest, this little peanut is a very vocal little lady. She would not be a good fit for anyone with shared walls. She will definitely let you know that she does not enjoy being crated or even just left alone for a little while. She has the potential to be a Velcro dog. She follows us around our house like a little shadow. She's also a champion climber. No baby gates or fences can fence her in!   We have watched her climb both with ease.  We tried a baby gate with vertical bars after she scaled the baby gate and fence. She squeezed through it like it was nothing. For this reason, we believe that she will always need to be leashed unless her forever home has a privacy fence.

Do you have room in your heart for Aiki? If you think you may be her perfect match, apply for her and schedule a meet and greet. She looks forward to meeting you and giving you puppy kisses. Yes, she still has puppy breath!
