Miklah is such a love.  She takes a little bit to warm up with new people, but when she knows you, she is the biggest love. After being here for about 10 days, she showed us how much she loved toys.  She is just crazy about them, but does not destroy them. She loves for your to toss them for her, and a game of tug is great as well.  Miklah has come a long way with her housetraining. After spending several weeks at an impound, she had to be retrained on what to do.  She will often go to the door when she needs to go out, but we also let her out every 3 hours or so. We also keep a pee pad out near the door. With winter, as with many dogs, the cold can make it challenging to get it all done outside. There has been an occasional poop inside, but that is improving every day. She is almost 100% with peeing outside or on the pad. She is not a fan of the crate, and I am told she barked constantly when crated. Miklah's coat does require grooming. She is not 100% non-shedding as she does have a fine layer of fur as an undercoat, but it is very minimal shedding. She has what is called “dry eyes” and needs ointment put in her eyes twice a day, to lubricate them. She is really good about having it put in.  She also did really well during her grooming. She gets along with all the dogs in foster mom’s home.  She is not a fan of energetic dogs, as all their activity scares her.  She rides very well in a car and will just lay down on the seat. She has been around foster mom’s cat with no issues. She is a sweet little girl that just wants someone to love.
