From the Foster:

Hi, my name is Alycia and I am looking for someone who wants to let a little house-panther into their lives. I have the softest, shiniest black fur you have ever seen. After some time to settle my suspicion of humans, I have come to love my foster mom and follow her around and talk to her all day. Sometimes I also like to talk when she or my foster dad is on the phone with other humans.

I’m still not sure about laps, but head and full-body pets and scratches and tummy rubs are to die for and I seek them out whenever my foster mom is around. My past is unknown to my foster, but I was a local stray and am still very skittish about sudden movements and loud, energetic human activities. I haven’t met any tiny humans yet, but I suspect that their noise and movements wouldn’t be to my liking. I have discovered, however, that purring and napping next to a quiet adult human at bedtime isn’t a bad thing at all!

My foster has a big, stinky dog who is of no concern to me. I’ll even rub against and cuddle next to the dog, no problem! I don’t really care much for other cats, but have learned to settle for a truce with my foster’s cat. Every once in a while, we will even play together, but I am somewhat of a diva and I think I would really prefer to be an only cat.

Because I am a lady, I use my litter box faithfully. I have also been introduced to scratching posts and have decided that I like them better than the furniture. Toy mice and small balls are lots of fun, too! My foster has a deck with a squirrel feeder and I can spend hours watching those goofy animals from the window. She also has a big kitty TV (fish tank) that is great entertainment. I am not at all a picky eater and am perfectly satisfied with what I am served.

Do you have a quiet household in need of a little black cat? I would love to find my forever home with you! Just give me time to get to know and trust you, and I will be your faithful shadow!
