From the Foster:

Dixie came to SHH as a pregnant stray girl from the south.  After a few weeks in foster care, she gave birth to 8 tiny puppies.  She has been a wonderful mom – thank you, Dixie.  She gets along very well with the four resident dogs in her foster home.  She is very gentle and submissive and would love to have another gentle dog in her home, but it isn’t a must.  She loves to be with her people too now that she has gotten to know us.  She knows her name and will come running when called.  Dixie is very treat motivated and training would be fun.  She’s a young girl who is a little cautious, but could really blossom with positive motivational obedience training and socialization.  She rides well in the car (I crate her in the car so she doesn’t fly through the windshield since she is so petite.)  She will alert you to someone at the door so maybe not a good match for a shared wall home.  She doesn’t really bark, she makes more of a high-pitched howl noise.

It’s Dixie’s turn now to get to have her own life instead of being a mom.  She will be spayed soon and is ready to find her forever home.  We have fallen completely in love with this sweet little girl and you will too.
