From the Foster:

Maggie is a doll with soulful eyes and will melt your heart when you meet her.  In our minds, she is the perfect family dog. She is house trained, loves everyone, and walks perfectly on a leash. We have seen others dogs on walks and she is non-reactive.  She gets along with my two female resident dachshund mixes (older in age) and our two human girls (3 and 7 years old). We haven't heard her bark even when my resident dogs are barking a lot.  Her fur is soft to the touch and not greasy. She is easy to trim nails and ok with bathes. Currently, she sleeps with my 7 year old and love to snuggle with her at night. Her age is estimated at about four years old. She begs to go on walks with you at least once a day and would happily go more often. We have a fenced yard that allows her to explore and she really enjoys the freedom. At the same time, she is cuddlier and loves to snuggle with you on the couch and get attention.

Background: The animal shelter SHH got her from indicated that she was an owner surrender due to not being good with chickens and cats.  It is assumed that she probably seriously injured them since the owner surrendered her for that reason. I believe she was potentially on a farm (because of the chickens). She reacts very well to positive reinforcement and she is extremely smart to pick up on learning new things.
