From the Foster:
Berit should be renamed Ariel, because she wants to be where the people are. She loves to be nearby her people and will happily spend the day napping either on a dog bed nearby or up on the couch. She is a relaxed and lazy middle aged lady who enjoys the good things in life like taking naps, snuggling and getting treats. She also likes to be held and carried around. House training is going well. With a consistent schedule, she has been accident free. She does not alert when she needs to go out, so making a habit of letting her out every few hours is ideal. She does not willingly go into a crate, but is quiet when placed in one. Berit did take some time to warm up to the resident dogs in her foster home and prefers dogs that are similar in size. She would be just fine being an only dog and would probably prefer it so her nap time is uninterrupted! Berit did have dental extractions and only has 3 teeth remaining. This doesn't slow her down though! She happily eats her kibble and will eat most dog treats as long as the pieces aren't too large.
If you're looking for an easy going, low energy sidekick, Berit is your gal!
