From the Foster

Hi! My name is Haylie. My sister Hilary and I came up from Texas when out owner died. ☹ It’s very different up here. There is all this stuff on the ground called snow. It’s fun to play in but sometimes it gets really cold and I don’t want to go out. Then I sit on the couch and ignore my mommy until she brings my foster siblings out without me. She calls me a Diva.

I live with my foster mommy and four foster siblings (a rat terrier 10, chihuahua mix 13 and a dachshund/ yorkie 11.) I used to have a cat friend but she moved away. Sometimes there is a big dog outside, who seems nice but I have not gotten to play with her. These little people called grandkids come over sometimes too. I like them but they tire me out, so I just stay on my couch.

I am housebroken but those days when it is too cold outside, I use a potty pad. Sometimes I miss and just come close but mommy says good job and gives me a treat anyhow. When it is nice out, I will stand by the door to let you know I need to go out and I won’t come in until I am done.

My favorite things are food, snuggles, pillow and sleep. I sometimes like to chase a squeaky or have a spa day. I love my siblings but sometimes wish there was not so many, so I could get more attention. I love sleeping in my mommy’s bed and curling up as close as I can be. I use a ramp to get into bed and stairs for the couch. I can walk nicely on a leash and am quiet. Although, I do have a big bark if someone is at the door.

What I came to Minnesota I had tumors and had to have a mastectomy. There was no cancer but my new family needs to keep an eye on me just incase the tumors come back. Since I’m a little older, my eyes aren’t as good as they used to be, I have cataracts but can still see. I also have arthritis and it hurts to walk sometimes. I am on pain medication and will need to continue to be for the rest of my like.

I am a very good girl and can’t wait to meet my furever family and love you forever. I have lots of cuddles and kisses to give!
