From the Foster:

Rylee is a sweet pup that wants nothing more than his people’s love and attention! Overtime, he has found the joy in playing with toys. He can get anxious around loud noises, sudden movements, and meeting new people, but he seems to gain more courage everyday as he adapts to the world around him.

A home with a fenced-in backyard would be best for Rylee. Rylee is crate trained, he goes in and lays down and waits for his delicious, special treat like a good boy. He does great with our two smaller dogs, but does experience anxiety when meeting new dogs and people, slow intros are needed. He is not a fan of larger dogs, and may just do better in a home where he is the only dog. He’s good about going potty outside, and will go to the door when he needs to go out.

Rylee needs someone who is patient and committed to continuing the training we have started with him and to accept him in the moments where he needs love the most. He suffers from anxiety but we are finding ways to keep him comfortable and happy. He thrives on consistency and needs to be reassured that it’s ok to trust people. Rylee will most likely never be a “dog park dog” but will be the best companion to his owner. He loves to cuddle and play, and just wants to be near his people.

Rylee is unique in the fact that he had his tail amputated back in December. X-rays determined it was broken and there was no fixing it, so amputation was the best option for him. So if you are looking for an affectionate, quirky, handsome, tailless dog, Rylee-roo may be the dog for you!
