From the Foster:

Woof! My name is Oliver! I ruv being around hoomans. I really enjoy laying in their laps and dreaming about snacks and belly rubs. I don’t make a lot of fuss, honestly, I really like keeping your lap warm.

HI! Oliver’s fosters here! Oliver is a really good boy. He doesn’t bark unless he’s surprised by something. Otherwise he rarely makes a peep-well besides his light snoring at times :)

Oliver is currently cohabiting with another pup and gets along just fine. Don’t let his age fool you! This guy will go on walks and lead you on an adventure of tree smells, rain or shine! When at home he tends to sleep all day but will come over to you and give you ‘the face’ which means he wants you to let him sit in your lap. If he could be there all day he would! He especially likes cuddling in bed and all morning if you let him!

He isn’t motivated by toys at the moment but he did take a liking to a resident fox toy recently. Oliver is definitely motivated by food. He always wants to know what you’re doing in the kitchen. If you let him know that he needs to go his bed he eventually makes his way there without fuss.

He doesn’t like to share his food and can get nippy if other dogs are around him. Its best to feed him separately if you have other pups in the home. He likes his Kong and can entertain himself with that for an hour. Sometimes he needs a little nudge if he doesn’t get snacks out quickly.

We’re working on his crate training and to sit on command. Regarding his crate, he will stay inside if there’s food but once the food is done he tends to whine. Making incremental progress as he learns that his crate is a safe place.

Oliver is pretty much housetrained and can hold it all night. When Oliver first arrived he had a tendency to mark but a belly band helped to keep that in check. We haven’t had any accidents since then.

Oliver always wants to be around people and is good with our resident dog. He will make a great addition to any home who can give him lots of love, opportunities to cuddle, and heaps of treats!
