From the Foster:

Jasmine is a treat to have as a foster but she is a tale of two dogs.  With the humans she knows, she is loving, obedient, playful, and pretty chill. But she has an insecurity about her when faced with strange people or stressful situations. She really takes her cues from our golden retriever female who is an easy going girl and has been very good for Jasmine as a role model.  She is a work in progress to develop confidence and she is making improvements when it comes to visitors but we are sensitive to slow intros which might be sitting in her kennel until all new arrivals settle in.

She is a petite and agile girl who would be most successful with a calm, confident resident dog. She is what I call a soft player – not aggressive – and versatile.  She loves to run, chase, wrestle, and tug.  She was a momma so her mouth is soft when she plays.  She is generally a happy girl.  Loves walks, loves her food and of course treats.  She has the run of our home, even when we leave. But she is settled here and happy to be with her furry housemates. She is totally house trained and she is learning some obedience commands.  She has good recall and is very obedient when directed to do something. When I put my hand in the treat cabinet, she automatically plants her little butt on the floor. She is loving to learn to play Frisbee and is a leaper so she could have much fun with this new sport once mastered.

She has some of the boxer traits – she hops with excitement and pounces. Her whole butt wiggles when she wags her tail in joy to greet her people. She whines to communicate. She has the most beautiful golden eyes and soft coat. She is low maintenance.   She is not aggressive toward new people, she is afraid and retreats or might bark.  She is not at this time comfortable being left alone all day and she is not an apartment or condo or duplex dog as we know that the sounds of people in other units brings on her stress.  She goes with the flow and once she understands your routine, she proves to be a loving and fun girl, complete with snuggles and kisses. If you are willing to be a patient and teaching owner, have another dog who is not too high energy, and enjoy walking, playing, and snuggling with your dog, Jasmine could fit into your life quite well.  She is interested in children but has not had much exposure to them.  A busy household with new people coming and going might not be comfortable for her.
