From the Foster:

Hi all, my name is Buddy! I am a handsome freckled boy who is as loving as can be. My foster mom calls me a “big baby” due to my love of naps and cuddles! I will even try to sit on your lap – don’t let my size fool you! Although I do love my naps and cuddles, I am also a very energetic boy. I love to run around in my fenced yard and go for walks! It’s hard for my foster mom to take me for walks because I am such a strong boy and like to pull. Therefore, I would do best with a firm handler, or someone who is familiar with my breed and can give me the exercise I need!

My foster mom tells me I have the perfect house manners! I haven’t had ANY accidents at all. I will even tell you when I need to go outside! I also do well in my kennel, although my foster mom thinks I may have separation anxiety, as I cry if I am left alone. If I am left alone at night, I will cry until you let me into your room. My foster mom has been letting me sleep in her room since she feels sorry for me!

My foster mom is a full-time online student, so she is always home with me and I love it! I would prefer to have a stay at home parent. Although, I will do okay if I am left alone for a few hours.

I am a very smart boy and I know a few commands! I am currently working on some more, and I am doing really well. As I mentioned before, I am a strong puller when I am on a leash, but with some training and a good harness, I’m sure I could be a great walking partner!

When I first came to SecondHand Hounds, I was tested with other dogs and I seemed to do just fine. Although, I have been introduced to a couple of other dogs since I have come to my foster home, and I didn’t do so well. My foster mom and I are trying to work on my socialization skills with other dogs, as I can get a little too dominant. Although, I am great with all people!

I hope I caught your attention, and will consider giving me the forever home I have always dreamed of! I promise to love you unconditionally and always be your loyal companion! If you are interested, feel free to fill out an adoption application below!
